Prior to migration, backup your Blogger blog including XML template, posts, and comments. Then follow step by step instructions below.

Step 1 – Buy a domain and hosting.

Step 2 – Install WordPress on your server.

Step 3 – In WordPress Admin Dashboard, go to Tools -> Import, select the Blogger.

Step 4 – Then authorize WordPress to access your Blogger Account and follow the instructions.

Step 5 – After importing process complete, check to see if all the posts and comments migrated successfully.

Step 6 – Then go to Settings -> Permalinks and set your permalinks structure.

Step 7 – Go back to your Blogger Account and access Settings.

Step 8 – In Settings, select Themes.

Step 9 – Scroll down to the bottom of the page and select Revert to classic templates.

Step 10 – In the Edit Template HTML text area, add the following code. Replace mysite.com with your WordPress website domain.

Step 11 – Click Save and this will wrap up redirection in Blogger.

Step 12 – In WordPress Dashboard, go to Appearance -> Editor and add the following code in functions.php. This will add a WordPress 301 redirection.

Step 13 – Now you have completed redirection in both Blogger and WordPress. Let’s redirect Blogger RSS feed to WordPress RSS feed.

Step 14 – Go to Blogger and Settings -> Other.

Step 15 – Set the Post Feed Redirect URL to your WordPress RSS feed url. (Usually mysite.com/feed)
